Skills Growth Wales is a selective scheme designed to help those companies who will have an impact on helping to revitalise the economic market. It is expected that most companies who may be eligible will already be working with a Relationship Manager within the Department of Economy and Transport. Companies will be expected to identify a specific measurable growth opportunity, demonstrate that the training is over and above what will be undertaken anyway, and that the training will lead to a growth in terms of head count, profit and/or turnover.

How does Skills Growth Wales work?

If you would like to know more about the scheme or to discuss if you will be eligible to apply you should call the Welsh Assembly Business Skills Hotline on Tel 0845 60 661 60 for more information. You will be sent a copy of the application form along with guidance and frequently asked questions. Once completed this form is given to a panel to consider and companies who pass that stage are asked to develop a detailed training plan. If when you contact the hotline you are not considered eligible you may be sent information on alternative funding which may be more suitable for your company needs.
